New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Mongrel Official Website) -- Mongrel's singer announced his departure this Monday in the wake of growing tensions in the band and the firing of their drummer several days prior. Band founder/guitarist and primary song writer, Adam Savage has stated "Contrary to some rumors that have popped up from the recent announcement, Mongrel is indeed alive and well. The past year as our ex-singer Drew had stated had indeed been filled with a lot of tension in the band and I'm really looking forward to what a new singer and drummer will bring to the band's chemistry and performances." Mongrel will indeed continue on and a new drummer and singer are expected to be announced in the near future.

The fate of the recently completed "This Means War" album is as of yet undetermined, however the first single "Bored to Death" from the album is available on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Bored-to-Death-Explicit/dp/B003F91250/ref=dm_ap_alb1), I-Tunes (https://itunes.apple.com/album/bored-to-death-single/id365845230), Bandcamp (https://mongrel.bandcamp.com), and can be heard on the band's myspace page at https://www.myspace.com/Mongrel . "This Means War", was recorded by Tim Koukos at SFW Studios in Manchester, New Hampshire; mixed by Jeff Wallace at Entrolab Studios in Tom's River, New Jersey; and mastered by Beau Hill Music Production.

Mongrel is expecting to perform their upcoming shows, including dates with Acey Slade & The Dark Party (ex-Murderdolls/Dope/Trashlight Vision) next week on April 24th at the Brickhouse in Dover NH, and April 25th at the Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge MA for an all ages matinee show. Details for all upcoming shows can be found on the band's myspace page as well.
