Spring Gulch Resort Campground (New Holland, PA) is pleased to announce its 24th annual
Spring Gulch Folk Festival. The highly anticipated weekend event is a yearly festival that celebrates the region's rich history of folk music. The festival will take place from Thursday, May 20 through Sunday, May 23, 2010, with the musical lineup beginning on Friday, May 21, 2010. Tickets to the festival are as follows: Adults: Friday and Sunday - $25, Saturday - $45; Children 6-17: Friday and Sunday - $10; Saturday - $20; Children 5 & under - free.
For the
Spring Gulch Folk Festival goers who are also RV or camping enthusiasts, the resort offers three or four day camping packages for the weekend. The prices per person are as follows:
� Folk Festival ticket and four day (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday) camping pass - $120 to $165
� Folk Festival ticket and three day (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) camping pass - $110 to $115
� Children ages 7 to 17, add an additional $40 per child
� Children ages 6 & under, add an additional $5 per child
*Minimum of two adults for any site with hook ups. No minimum number for grassy site area.
Held in the heart of the Pennsylvania Dutch Country, the four-day musical celebration gathers the talents of musicians and artists, who fill the weekend with music, singing and dancing. Workshops, crafts, and Pennsylvania Dutch culinary staples such as chicken corn soup and chicken potpie complement the weekend's musical lineup. The hands-on weekend allows festival attendees to participate in various workshops in between concerts, such as guitar picking and song writing, as featured in previous years. At the conclusion of each evening of the festival, guests are given the opportunity to gather around the campfire, which is adjacent to Spring Gulch's tranquil lake, for a sing-a-long and fellowship.
The weekend lineup of talent features a diverse, crowd-engaging blend of bluegrass, folk, blues, jazz, country, rock and roll, and more. The Friday, Saturday and Sunday musical lineup is as follows:
