New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - "I'm in love with love, and it broke me in two," sings Alejandro Escovedo on the first track of his new album 'Street Songs Of Love.' Escovedo didn't want 'Street Songs' to have a theme. "I was sick of talking about myself," he jokes, in reference to his lauded 2008 effort 'Real Animal.' Love became a strong thematic element, however. " Anchor" sets the tone of the 13-track record with big guitars, textural vocals, and poignant lyrics about broken hearts and lost love.
