Jackson, Mich (Top40 Charts/ Land of NOD Experiment) - A dynamic grassroots music and arts festival unlike any other is set to take place this July in Jackson, Mich. With a capacity of 8,000, Land of NOD Experiment will be an intimate affair with attendees camping, dancing and exploring the arts on a secluded beautiful landscape surrounded by majestic oaks.
"We really wanted to choose a central location in a great community. Jackson ended up being the perfect choice," says Dan Sheridan, one of a pair of producers.
More than 70 bands will be taking the stage in this summer's best festival for those that like a great mix of music styles:
Leading on Main Stages:
- Atlanta based alt-pop superstars of Montreal
- Rock outfit Eagles of Death Metal
- New Orleans' rising-stars Trombone Shorty and Orleans Ave
- Underground legend Dr. Octagon
National acts such as Tokyo Police Club, Rasputina, Boombox, and Big Gigantic will provide the evening soundtrack, and Michigan-based artists The Ragbirds, Innerphonic, The Satin Peaches, My Dear Disco, The Macpodz and more will command the reverlers until dark.
For those seeking the electronic music rush, U.K. drum and bass legends Ed Rush and Optical, eight-time DMC scratch champion D.J. Qbert, Dieselboy and Detroit's own contingent of talented artisists including E. Spleece, Dubphonics, Ronin Selecta, Matt Clarke will be holding down the dedicated electronic area.
Other Acts include D.J. Proppa Bear, Lucky Brown, Bawdy Boys, Worms Union, Nag Hammadi, Ultraviolet Hippopotamus, If i were the sun, God and the Architects.

In addition to the music performances, theatrical, Americana, and multidisciplinary art forms will be taking center stage in the Fringe Forest. This remote area will feature artists from around the nation. Chicago's Environmental Encroachment and California's fire troup Sirena Serpentina are just some of the performers that will lend their talents to the Fringe Forest.
Sheridan(NOOMOON) along with fellow Michigan resident Jason Reed (Dark Course), who have 32 years of combined experience in event production, look forward to bringing the spotlight back to Michigan in terms of art and music.
Reed stated: "This event is for Michigan and its great people, artists, and supporters. We look forward to producing an annual event to increase awareness and tourism to the state."
