New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Universal Republic) - Universal Republic Records' smash soundtrack for the hit Russell Brand/Jonah Hill comedy, Get Him To The Greek, soared to No 1 on the iTunes Soundtrack Chart its first week in-stores. The riotous CD is also the No 8 album on the highly-coveted iTunes Album Chart, besting current in-demand soundtracks for the hit TV show Glee and the much-buzzed about Twilight: Eclipse collection.

The hit movie, Get Him To The Greek, which reunited Jonah Hill and Russell Brand with Forgetting Sarah Marshall director Nicholas Stoller, was No 1 comedy in America at the Box Office this week, fast becoming THE comedy hit of the summer. The raucous soundtrack album crashed stores and online platforms last week, and features songs performed by Russell Brand and his alter-ego's band INFANT SORROW, hilariously showcased in the hit movie, including "Gang Of Lust," "Bangers, Beans and Mash," "Riding Daphne," and "Supertight," among others. Brand directed the video for the first single, "Just Say Yes," which has also become a hot seller on iTunes.

The movie follows the story of a young record company intern, Aaron Green /Hill/, who is given two days to drag an uncooperative, narcissistic rock legend, Aldous Snow /played by Brand/ to Hollywood for a comeback concert. The comedy is the latest film from producer Judd Apatow, and also stars Elizabeth Moss, Rose Byrne as singer Jackie Q, and P. Diddy as Hill's record boss, with featured roles and cameos including Pink, Christina Aguilera, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, and more.

Russell sings lead on all the INFANT SORROW songs, with contributors on the album including Jonathan Karp - premier music supervisor and producer who has helmed soundtracks for Apatow classics such as Superbad, Pineapple Express, Knocked Up; Lyle Workman - noted live/studio guitarist, producer, and composer who has worked on Apatow movies 40 Year Old virgin and Superbad; UK music star and ex-Pulp member Jarvis Cocker - who recently contributed to the acclaimed Fantastic Mr. Fox soundtrack; Jason Segel - star of "How I Met Your Mother," "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," "I Love You, Man"; and former Libertines alumnus' Carl Barat and singer/songwriter Dan Bern. To round out the list of heavy-hitters involved in creating the album, Mike Viola and Judd Apatow also contribute to the hit soundtrack.

A special Digital Deluxe version was also released, featuring four bonus tracks including the riveting "Pound Me In The Buttox," and "F--k Your S--t Up."
