LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Topanga Days Festival) - The long established Topanga Days 'Country Fair', known as LA's biggest Bohemian bash, set new attendance records this Memorial Day weekend, with a 50 band roster on three stages that included Ziggy Marley, Canned Heat, Lone Justice's Maria McKee and Leo Nocentelli of New Orleans' famed Meters. The three-day outdoor concert raised funds for the Topanga Community Club, which provides the area with facilities for many events and a brand new softball field.

The organizers asked musician/songwriter/producer Danny Sheridan to promote this, their 37th Annual event. Sheridan, whose own band members have included talent like David Allan Coe, Bonnie Bramlett and Dallas Taylor, said, 'We are celebrating this success, looking forward to our wrap party and already thinking about possible headliners for next year. It was fun to draw from acts that have a history in the area, like Canned Heat."

Topanga Days always presents a variety of music, featuring both national headliners and regional bands. This year's indoor stage paid tribute to the lone gone Topanga Corral, a local club where rockers like Neil Young, Little Feat, Spirit, and members of The Eagles would congregate in bygone years. The Doors' Jim Morrison wrote their 'Roadhouse Blues' about the seedy bar.

Past Topanga Days performers have included acts as diverse as John Doe, Blood Sweat & Tears, the Foo Fighters' Taylor Hawkins, The Young Dubliners, Santana's Gregg Rolie, Veruka Salt, Men At Work's Colin Hay, Michelle Shocked, The Doors' John Densmore, Maria Muldaur, and the world's most famous groupie, Pamela Des Barres. Often guests like Jackson Browne or (last year) Billy Idol stop in for a surprise set.

Last December, Sheridan hosted the 1st Annual Coachella Valley Songwriters Experience, and is already suggesting headliners for the next Topanga Days, Memorial Day weekend, 2011.
