New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Atomic Publicity and Marketing) - Having solidly built his reputation around the country as a seasoned solo artist, Jason Ayres described as "one of Perth's finer acoustic acts." (Drum Media Australia), now brings together a band of quality musicians to take the live performance to new heights at The 'Chasing Ghosts' CD Launch at the Subiaco Arts Centre - August 1st.
After the smashing success of his debut acoustic EP 'Acoustic Sessions', Jason Ayres follows up with his bigger, better and bolder pop-rock release 'Chasing Ghosts'. By bringing in the experience and talents of Ric Eastman on drums (Lucky Oceans, Hank Marvin, Dave Hole) and Jon Ryder on bass (Vdelli, John Meyer), the recording was given a driving rhythm which holds its own underneath the catchy pop melodies which are strewn throughout the disc.
Influenced by the pop of John Mayer, the vocal stylings of Jeff Buckley and the driving beats of Coldplay, Jason Ayres has fashioned his own brand of mainstream acoustic based pop-rock. With years of performing in venues alongside Perth favourites Nathan Gaunt, Toby and Code Red, Saritah and James Cruikshank (the Cruel Sea), Jason has mastered the art of delivering a stylised and polished performance.
