New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ VH1) - Aaron Lewis, the acclaimed frontman for Atlantic recording group Staind, has unveiled details of a major benefit concert presented by his own It Takes A Community Foundation. Lewis will be joined at the show by a number of very special friends for acoustic performances, including Brad Arnold and Chris Henderson of 3 Doors Down, Brendan Kelly, and Lo Pro. "Aaron Lewis & Friends" is scheduled for Saturday, August 14th at The Pines Theater at Look Park in Northampton, Massachusetts.

Pre-sale tickets for the concert will go on sale beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, June 15, as well an exclusive VIP ticket package available to Dysfunctional Fan Club (www.dysfunctionalstaind.com). All remaining tickets will then be made available to the general public on Friday, June 18. Tickets will be available on that day at www.ticketmaster.com or charge by phone at (800) 745-3000. Locally, tickets will be available at Faces, 175 Main Street in Northampton.

The It Takes A Community Foundation was founded by Lewis and his wife Vanessa with a focus on reviving rural communities throughout the greater New England area. The charity works with local leaders and community organizations that have firsthand knowledge of the needs of their communities. It strives to raise funds and support these community groups who strengthen, engage and enrich the communities they are in, sustain diminishing public services and provide assistance to communities in crisis. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/ittakesacommunity.
For its initial launch, ITAC's goal is to raise funds in support of the Community Education Center in Worthington, Massachusetts. Funds raised will help open the school's doors and provide a seamless transition from a district run facility to a community school.

"My family has been directly affected by school closures in our rural area due to state budget cuts," said Lewis. "We have seen firsthand the necessity for smaller communities to have a voice and to determine their own local needs and priorities. Our foundation strives to do just that - to build a collective of local community members and empower them to take charge of their own community's future."

In other news, Lewis will be appearing on the new season of Drury Outdoors' popular Outdoor Channel series, Celebrity Dream Season, which begins June 29. An avowed outdoorsman, Lewis's participation in the series will raise funds for the Catch-A-Dream Foundation, which grants once-in-a-lifetime hunting and fishing experiences to children with life-threatening illnesses. With his honest, heartfelt lyrics, resounding guitar chords, and unmistakable voice, Aaron Lewis has led Staind to the forefront of American rock music. 2008's The Illusion of Progress, marked the band's fourth consecutive studio album to debut in the top 3 on the Billboard 200 and features the No 1 alternative rock song, "Believe." The iconic hard rock group's decade-long career has seen worldwide album sales in excess of 13 million and five No 1 singles spanning three different radio formats.

In addition to his work with Staind, Lewis is a fervent road warrior, performing annually as a solo acoustic artist whose yearly runs sell out nearly every show across the country. Upcoming shows include July 8 at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe, PA; July 10 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, MS; July 22 at the Hampton Beach Casino in Hampton Beach, NH; and July 31 at the Grand Opera House in Wilmington, DE.
