Charlottetown, PE (Top40 Charts/ Northumberland Ferries) - You may think the Festival of Small Halls Opening Night Concert in New London, PEI was the first performance of the Festival of Small Halls. Wrong. The first performances of the 2010 festival took place on the Northumberland Ferries as part of the 'Music on Deck' program.
Northumberland Ferries Ltd in partnership with Active Communities are pleased to announce the return of 'Music on Deck'. The first performance of the summer season kicked off this past weekend during Festival of Small Halls starting on June 11th. As a promotion for the Festival of Small Halls performers from Prince Edward Island will entertain passengers during the crossings from Wood Islands, PE and Caribou, NS.
The incredibly talented local performers will have toes tapping across the deck of the ferry during the crossings at 1pm from Wood Islands, PE and 2:45pm from Caribou, NS. Previous years saw Canadian Folk Music Award winner Colette Cheverie entertaining the passengers and JJ Chaisson, Gordon Belsher and Richard Wood are among the artists scheduled to appear in 2010. You never know who you will find on board.
