New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Zade, the Jordanian composer and performer who has dedicated himself to promoting peace through the Zade Foundation for international Peace and Understanding and who The Washington Times has deemed "Jordan's leading cultural ambassador," has announced the Young Composers for Peace Award, an annual program to empower outstanding young composition students who are committed to the principles of peace and social justice within their own communities and around the world.

Zade, whose 'One Night In Jordan: A Concert for Peace' CD and DVD is out now, explains in a blog post on the Larry King Live website this week that he has benefited from the support of mentors such as Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan, who calls him an "indomitable character who has inspired so many," and hopes through the Young Composers for Peace Award to inspire students he has met all over the world.

"Today's students are tomorrow's leaders," Zade writes, "and I have been inspired time and time again by their stories of hope and determination. We all share the same dream: To live in peace, and provide a safe environment built on justice and mutual respect where our children can grow together as members of one human family."

The Young Composers for Peace Award seeks compositions of 3-8 minutes from composers aged 16-21 with deep pride in the musical heritage of their native country who are passionate about sharing a deeper understanding of their respective cultures by becoming peacemakers as well as musicmakers. The award includes a $5000 gift, a recording by Zade of the winning composition for an upcoming album, and the opportunity to work with Zade in the studio.
