Detroit, MI (Top40 Charts/ ON THE ROCKS DETROIT) - Honky Tonk rockers The Orbitsuns host an unusually cool fundraiser to help with their upcoming UK tour at Robusto's Martini Lounge this Saturday June 26, 2010. Doors are at 9:00 p.m., ages 21 and over are welcome and admission is free. In early July, The Orbitsuns embark on their first UK tour, performing at rock and Americana festivals including The Maverick Festival with legendary 80's artist Thomas 'She Blinded Me With Science' Dolby's new band The Toadlickers, Leadenhall Market Americana Festival, and club dates from London to York. To make their Euro's go even further, The Orbitsuns are giving fans an opportunity to tell them what to do while in England. Some of these activities include The Orbitsuns recreating the famous Beatles 'Abbey Road' photo on Abbey Road, posing with Beefeaters, having high tea, drinking a yard of ale and more! Fans who bid on these activities will get a photo of The Orbitsuns participating in that activity emailed directly to them. All funds raised from the 'UK Shenanigans Auction' will support The Orbitsuns' overseas tour. In addition to the UK fundraising activities, The Orbitsuns will perform live and the band's brand new CD 'First Drink of The Day' along with trucker hats and T-shirts will also be available for sale. Fronted by charismatic lead singer Vinnie Dombroski (from the Platinum selling modern rock band Sponge), The Orbitsuns are a countrified hybrid of Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and Elvis with a twist of Detroit Rock City and sly humor. Favorites of the festival and bar circuit, The Orbitsuns have shared stages with numerous country luminaries including David Allen Coe, Blake Shelton, and Willie Nelson. A complete listing of UK tour dates and samples of The Orbitsuns' music are available on the band's web site at myspace.com/orbitsuns.
