NEW YORK (Duran Duran Official Website) - Just a month after
Duran Duran won the Lifetime Achievement Award from MTV comes word the band will embark on an extensive fall tour. The group begins its trek November 8 at the brand-new Borgata Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Four days before the tour begins (November 4), the English group releases the two-disc DVD set Duran Duran: Greatest, which features more than 20 of their videos.
An album of all-new material has also been completed, but
Duran Duran has yet to find a distributor for it.
Duran Duran shows were the place to be seen during the group's height of fame in the mid-1980s. Keyboardist Nick Rhodes said that men were attending Duran Duran concerts just to hit on the pretty girls who would come out to see the band. "All the really smart boys knew that all the girls, all the good-looking girls, were going to come to our show, so they all came too and picked up the girls," Rhodes told fans website.
