Washington, DC (Top40 Charts/ LULAC) - With the backdrop of the impending controversial Arizona immigration law SB 1070 set to take effect, LULAC has called upon the Latino's entertainment community to unite and raise their collective voices through a star-studded concert with a cause, Voces Unidas Por America or Voices United for America.

Top Latin recording artists Pee Wee, Ozomatli, Cristian Castro are the first acts to confirm their participation. Set for Saturday July 17 in Albuquerque, New Mexico (site of the 81st Annual LULAC National Convention), Voces Unidas will unite Latino performing artists, actors, athletes, public officials and national leaders in a unprecedented concert that will send a "collective and united" message to the state of Arizona.

LULAC has joined forces with TV and music producer David Chavez and LatinPointe to use music as a unifying theme in rallying support from the Latin entertainment, political and sports world. The passion and the energy of Latino community across the country will be channeled into a unique event.

"The incredible talent will join together in echoing the sentiment and passion of the Latino community against the proposed law," remarked Rosa Rosales, LULAC President. "Arizona has given Latinos an opportunity to stand up; an urgency and a sense of purpose to unite through song as Americans voice their concerns with this unique musical event."

Voces Unidas is scheduled for Saturday July 17 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The concert will be held during LULAC's National Convention. This year's theme, New Strategies for Community Empowerment: New Leadership through Action, will take on pressing priorities in the areas of immigration, education, healthcare and diversity.

Voces Unidas will be free to the community, but ticketed. More concert information will be soon available at LULAC.org.
