Alexandre Pires collaborates with Rod Stewart

MIAMI, Florida (Alexandre Pires Official Website) - It's indisputable that the musical career of Brazilian singer, Alexandre Pires continues rocketing to the top. Barely a week ago he was invited to sing at the White House for President George W. Bush and now he's recording a duet with one of rock & roll's best interpretive singers, Rod Stewart. The song is part of a recollection of hits of the legendary British singer titled "The Great American Songbook: Volume 2" that will be in the market towards the end of October.

The duo is interpreting a song from the 50's titled, "Don't Get Around Much Anymore", in which both singers give a sample of their spectacular voices and not only that, but Alexandre will sing in English for the first time.

"The Great American Songbook" is a follow-up to another album of hits that was launched earlier this year and also includes a duet of Stewart with Cher. In this second volume, Stewart (58), decided to include many renowned artists as well as new, up and coming artists. "I feel very touched and excited. To sing with Rod Stewart, who is one of the greats in the music industry, is a great honor for me", shared the humble and talented singer when knew that the song would be included in the album.

This collaboration with Rod Steward, as well as his duet with Kelly Clarkson at the Latin Grammys 2003 shows that Alexandre Pires has become a great international star. Alexandre will be performing at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida on Sunday, October 26 - the first stop of his first ever US Tour!
