Music Mondays features performances by the best up-and-comers in local independent music, all hand-selected by LA's indie music hub www.isgoodmusic.com.
'We're incredibly excited to be working with IsGoodMusic and adding GOOD Music Mondays to our latest line-up of music events here at the hotel,' says Dan Shaughnessy, Director of Sales & Marketing for the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel & Spa. 'If you like live music and want to see LA's strongest independent musicians play in a rare, intimate environment, here's a way to catch them before they hit the big time.'
GOOD Music Mondays will run similar to the hotel's popular Indie Thursdays showcases. The first Monday of each month boasts three short acoustic sets from featured bands performing in the hotel's Lobby Bar. On the following Mondays of the month, each artist will have their own evening and perform two full, semi-acoustic sets. Performances are 8pm to 10pm each week.
Attendance is free and all ages are welcome. Guests are encouraged to try delicious appetizers, delightful entrees, desserts, and handcrafted signature cocktails available from the Lobby Bar.
Scheduled every Thursday in the hotel's Lobby Bar, Indie Thursdays is always sure to be a fascinating show, featuring independent artists from all genres of music. The first Thursday each month are showcase performances with 5-6 independent artists competing for a paid performance the following month. Indie Thursdays - Artist of the Month performances are solo performances on every remaining Thursday of the month. Performances are 7:30PM to 9:30PM each week.
On Sunday afternoons, the sounds from the KJAZZ 88.1FM, Champagne Brunch Series fills the air at the hotel's Twist Restaurant from 11:00am-2:00pm. The KJAZZ brunches feature high quality jazz artists and live broadcasts from KJAZZ DJ's and include all you can eat and drink from a wide variety of stations throughout the restaurant. Choose your favorites from cooked to order omelettes, eggs benedict, fresh waffles, carved prime rib, hot entrees, salads, desserts, champagne, mimosas and much, much, more.
The Renaissance of Sinatra is sure to bring the rat pack and all their friends to the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel & Spa every Sunday evening in 2010 as LA's favorite crooner Luca Ellis performs the songs that made the legend. This jazz singer takes the stage performing Sunday Standards at the hotel's street side Lobby Bar from 6pm-8pm.
All ages are welcome to these family-friendly events and, unlike a lot of venues in Hollywood, there's no cover. That means free for everyone!
The summer of 2010 also brings two more free events on the hotel's beautiful pool deck that are open to the public, with all ages welcome:
