San Diego, CA (Top40 Charts/ Revolution One Entertainment) - Just in time for a new season of football from the San Diego Chargers, comes a new anthem to soundtrack both the game as well as pre and post party action, 'oeWe Charge Hard,'? by Cookoo. Best known for his work with Hip-hop heroes, five time San Diego Music Awards nominees, South Psycho Cide, Cookoo has penned a song with a difference, going for the timeless thrills of the game rather than simply name dropping. What you'll find is an anthem that delivers the thrills of the game, with a serious groove.

Born and raised in San Diego, Cookoo has a range of credits in his resume that would dazzle the most jaded music fan. He's spoken on a 'state of the music business' panel at San Diego's prestigious Thomas Jefferson School of Law, appeared on national TV live from the 2009 annual NARM convention and been featured in the San Diego Union Tribune. Meanwhile award winning music executive/author Eugene Foley reviewed Cookoo's music, giving him a 4.7 out of all seven categories, including recording production, lead vocals, musicianship, lyric writing, music composition, melodies and song arrangement, with a rating of 5 being the highest. "I don't give out 4's and 5's easily,'? noted Foley.

Ready to bring back heart and soul to Hip-Hop, Cookoo is now in a strong position to do just that. In fall 2008 Cookoo won producer Flip Matrix's (Ice Cube/Xzibit) "Best of The Best" mc contest and has since collaborated on underground mix-tape songs with multi-platinum a.Fam Entertainment producer Focus' (Dr.Dre/Beyonce).

In addition to a forth coming disc from South Psycho Cide, Cookoo is currently in the midst of working on his debut solo album. "I like being the underdog in an industry full of fake mc's and trendy pop rappers,'? he pointed out. 'oeThey see me all g'd up and are quick to judge me, but then I spit a flow and talk business and it shocks them." His first single "Me And My Beat" has received over 750,000 plays to date, ranking as a top ten Myspace song for 8 weeks in 2009. 'oeWe Charge hard'? is just a taste of the sort of sounds that fans can expect on the full production due later this year. For live performances and club exposure Cookoo will be collaborating with WorldStarHipHop/JellyRadio DJ Bille Knight.

Currently Cookoo is starting a new label and is concentrating on promoting "We Charge Hard,'? through his website. "The Chargers are an exciting team and the song tries to bottle some of that with lyrics that work every year as opposed to a particular season.'? A blur of activity, Cookoo wouldn't have it any other way. 'oeYou can't sit around waiting for things to happen, you have to get up, keep moving and create your own opportunities. I keep faith, stay focused' Lord knows I got a vision," he said.

Cookoo is available for interviews and/or performances.
