Cleveland, OH (Top40 Charts/ Oswald Companies) - Independent rock band Red Wanting Blue is returning to Ohio's North Coast to headline the 2nd Annual "Rock United," a concert to launch the 2010-2011 United Way of Greater Cleveland Campaign. The Columbus-based band will perform live at Barley House, located 1265 W. Sixth Street, on Friday September 24, 2010. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and special guests include JACKIE, Jupiter One, and 12-year-old guitar prodigy Alex Raz.

The event is organized and sponsored by Oswald Companies, a risk management and insurance brokerage firm headquartered in Cleveland. General Admission tickets ($15) and VIP tickets ($25) will be available for purchase beginning August 3, as 100% of ticket proceeds and a percentage of the evening's bar receipts will be donated to United Way. For more information about the event, visit https://www.uws.org/redwantingblue

After years of going at it alone, Red Wanting Blue finally signed its first record deal in May 2010 with Indie start-up label Fanatic Records. The band's hugely popular eighth studio album, These Magnificent Miles, was re-released nationally 7/27/2010 to great reviews: https://www.myspace.com/redwantingblue

Cleveland's JACKIE is comprised of siblings Jackie, Mike, and Matt LaPonza, along with guitarists Patrick Ols and Mike Donovan. JACKIE's explosive live performances are known for getting audiences' hearts-pounding with special features: dueling drum solos, acrobatics and much more. The band has been busy touring all summer in support of its album "Almost Broken" and has shared the stage with national acts Hinder, Theory of a Deadman, Hoobastank, Saliva, and Vince Neil of Motley Crue. Jupiter One has completed recently an international tour of Australia and New Zealand in the spring opening up for Regina Spektor. The Brooklyn, New York-based band's sophomore album "Sunshower," released late last year, merges an array of influences incorporating folk, jazz, dance, rock and elements of '80s pop.
