Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ Janice McCafferty Communications) - The Recording Academy Los Angeles Chapter held its' first GRAMMY Block Party this past weekend benefiting Nashville Flood Relief. All proceeds will benefit the MusiCares Nashville Flood Flood Relief Fund, which as established by The Academy and MusiCares in response to the devastating and life-altering effects of the recent floods that unexpectedly hit Nashville and its surrounding areas this spring. Major celebrities such as Ralphael Saadiq, Chuck Wicks, Charice, Aka Cassidy, La Santa Cecilia and Music Director Ricky Minor were the headline performers drawing record number crowds to the event. Music Icon/Producer and Keyboardist Michael Bearden who scored the movie "This Is It" and who currently holds the position of Music Director on the George Lopez show was also among the A-List celebrities in attendance. Michael Bearden, one of the most multi-talented producers in the industry has worked with everyone from Madonna to Dizzy Gillespie, to Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Liza Minnelli, Ricky Martin and D'Angelo. He has scored a number of hit movies and TV Shows, and played at the Obama inauguration alongside Bono, Bruce Springsteen and Aretha Franklin.
