NEW YORK (R. Kelly Fans Website) - R. Kelly can't leave the U.S. due to the child porn charges he is facing, but on Friday he still managed to play for American troops in Iraq. With permission to leave the state of Illinois, Kelly played free of charge to close to 10,000 troops near the Fort Hood Army Base in Texas. A live video feed of the concert was fed via satellite to military bases around the U.S. and to U.S. troops stationed in Iraq. "I have a special place in my heart for the soldiers," Kelly said. "They have my utmost respect because if it wasn't for them protecting our land, none of us would be able to live the way we do."
