Alameda, CA (TOP40 Charts/ Rosenblum Cellars) -- As music lovers and Elvis Presley fans everywhere are surely aware, National Elvis Week 2010 takes place from August 10 through August 16. Rosenblum Cellars, the Alameda dockside winery with over 30 years of award-winning Zinfandel and Rhone style wines, will be celebrating with a public tribute bash on Saturday, August 14 - featuring great wines, barbecue lunch with a Memphis flair and a performance by the King himself ... or the next best thing.

Join Rosenblum winemaker John Kane and the wine tasting room team for Rosenblum's first "Salute to the King" Party. Guest of honor will be Rick Torres, considered by many to be the best Elvis impersonator and performer in Northern California. Rick AKA "The King" will arrive at the Rosenblum bash in style, driving his custom pink Cadillac.

"I'm a closet Elvis fan myself," says Celeste Cooper, Rosenblum Cellars Visitor Center Manager. "But when I saw Rick perform I was blown away. He's incredible - a really high voltage crowd pleaser." Wine lovers will be able to sample a range of Rosenblum signature Zinfandels, paired with barbecue Memphis style from Back Forty Roadhouse & Saloon as well as some other well known Elvis favorites.

"Zinfandel is really an ideal wine pairing with any grilled meat," suggests Cooper. "The jammy fruit notes and the distinctive spicy, pepper notes of good Zinfandel, will balance a tangy sauce or grill rub. I haven't tried a Zin yet with an Elvis classic like grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich bites, but we'll find out!"

The Rosenblum Cellars "Salute to the King" Party will be held on Saturday, August 14, from 12:30pm to 4:00pm, at Rosenblum Cellars, 2900 Main Street, Alameda, CA. Tickets are $30 for the public, $20 for Rosenblum Wine Club members. Space is limited so advance online ticket purchase is advised.
