The album was co-produced by industry veterans Mike Sutherland (Pennywise, Slightly Stoopid) and Bruce Sikora. 'This is something I've wanted to do for a long time. Just me and my guitar, pushing on down a road that's unpredictable. In the Phathom world, I come up with the core of the song, then collaborate on it with the band to finish the song. But with this new endeavour on my own, I get to see my vision all the way through to the end,' commented Sikora. 'Phathom has a very distinctive sound, and not every song that I write in the valley of Crescenta is going to fit with that sound. There was only one thing left to do as the songs started to pile up. Putting myself in the studio to hit the record button, my first solo record was underway with the man who introduced me to music in the first place, my father, Bruce Sikora taking a producer roll with Mike Sutherland. Ryan Fogle accompanied me on Drums, as well as long time bass player Terry Linvill, who played with Chuck Berry and The Captain & Tennille. J.P Gonzalez, of Elegy, also jumped in and was manning the keys to create my organization of sound and silence.' Sikora has honed his skills recording and touring for over a decade as a part of Phathom. The Los Angeles based outfit has performed with everyone from Avenged Sevenfold and Strung Out, to Unwritten Law and toured with the Vans Warped Tour. Sikora's solo debut truly showcases Matthew's ability to create and exciting blend of soul-searching, ethereal, yet down and dirty alternative rock.
