LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Sierra Madre Elementary Official Website) - Two-time Smooth Jazz Grammy winner Paul Brown is donating his performance at A Taste of Sierra Madre's Headliners Concert, which benefits children both near and far. Half the event's net proceeds will fund cleft palate surgeries through non-profit Rotaplast Foundation. The other half will fund expanded fine arts programs for area youth at Sierra Madre's Youth Activity Center.

Brown has scored fifty, count 'em - fifty, No 1 places on the chart air lists for dozens of reasons. Though his widely appealing charts are stylistically diverse, this contemporary jazz artist always inserts a compelling exotic flavor to his charts, keeping his music fresh and always interesting. Audiences of all ages will enjoy the influences of pop, jazz, old school R&B, soul-jazz, Brazilian and Latin music throughout his tunes.

His Foreign Exchange album is described as "perfectly capturing the hopeful spirit of global cooperation that defines these challenging times." A Taste of Sierra Madre event chair Tom Brady says, "Paul Brown is exactly the right personality and mindset we're aiming for at this event and fundraiser. Sierra Madre is thrilled to host him at our inaugural event."

Brown grew up in LA surrounded by parents who sang for Sinatra, Elvis and Streisand. With this pedigreed musical DNA, Brown started on the drums at five, took up the guitar at seven and was assistant engineer for an album at 15. Since his debut album, Classical Soul, garnered him best new artist in 1994 by R&R, Brown's not only made a name for himself as a recording artist, but received a Grammy as a producer and engineer as well.

A Taste of Sierra Madre will provide a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with several headliner smooth jazz musicians, featuring Paul Brown, plus Chris Standring - the chart-topper whose BLUE BOLERO shot to No 1 on Billboard Magazine for 29 weeks, Michael Lington, Katisse Buckingham, Eric Byak, Bart Samolis, MB Gordy, and Gayle Bluemel's Late Bloomers at 1 PM at the event's headliner venue in Sierra Madre Elementary's (SME) intimate 1920s vintage auditorium of only 525 seats, from 1-4 p.m. on September 11. The SME Auditorium is located at 141 W. Highland, Sierra Madre, CA 91024. Tickets online at https://www.ATasteofSierraMadre.com or in local retailers in Sierra Madre. Street parking is ample, but event organizers suggest allowing an extra 30 minutes to park before the 1 PM concert time.

"Groove and Rejoice!" says Brown. He wanted to help kids with cleft palate and the local fine arts programs, and is literally putting smiles on these kids' faces.
