NEW YORK (Evanescence Fans Website) - Evanescence guitarist Ben Moody has left the band midway through their European tour. Moody was a founding member of the group, with singer Amy Lee. The pair formed the core of the group - and were accompanied by studio musicians on their hit " Fallen" album. Moody reportedly dropped off the tour in Germany last week, and returned to the U.S. without speaking to his band-mates. The band is continuing to tour as a four-piece. After Moody's departure Amy Lee told Rocksound magazine, "You don't do that to your band... You don't do that to anybody." Moody was one of the founding members of the group and co-wrote much of their material alongside lead singer Amy Lee. The band's second guitarist John LeCompt is filling on the dates, which include shows in the UK this week.
