Since its debut as the first on-demand premium music app, Rhapsody for iPhone has been popular in the iTunes Store, consistently ranking in the top five percent of the 300 free music applications measured each month by PositionApp. The application-which is the first to enable offline playback on the iPhone-allows Rhapsody subscribers to play, stream and download playlists directly to their iPhones, anywhere, even where a mobile connection is unavailable.

"Consumers are verifying what we have worked diligently to achieve: the Rhapsody experience on mobile is second to none," saidJon Irwin, president, Rhapsody. "Our ten years of experience delivering a superior digital music service is serving us well in our mobile innovations. Mobile will continue to be a major area of focus for Rhapsody as we launch more groundbreaking products this year."

With Rhapsody for iPhone, subscribers can stream and download music from Rhapsody's catalog of more than 10 million songs, listen to Internet radio stations, create new playlists on the go or access the playlists they have already created through Rhapsody. The app is also available on Android devices and will soon be coming to BlackBerry.

It's free to trial the Rhapsody mobile app for 7 days, after which fans can purchase a Rhapsody subscription for only $9.99-per-month. More information on plans is available at https://www.rhapsody.com/-discover/plans
