New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Wu-Tang International) - So what happened last week after the Yellow Jackets interview done by $paceman? Seems some information was either misinterpreted or we were ill informed. More in question was their affiliation to Wu or their status within the Westcoast Killa Beez. What were the fans meant to assume? Out of nowhere the Yellow Jackets were featured on the latest Killa Beez compilation The Swarm 3: Pollen", on a song called "Roll with the Killa Beez", Christ Bearer was interviewed as part of our Killa Beez series and spoke about his new group the Yellow Jackets, which also features Armel The Great.

The questions started coming in and Wu-International decided to get hold of another member to find out more about the group. Last week's guest was $paceman, who broke down the group's history, affiliation and so on. It would seem the Y'Jz have found their place within the West Coast Killa Beez among the rest of the artists we have interviewed so far. However some information received in regards to the group were disputed; mainly YJ'z status within the KGB, and $paceman's connection with the Black Knights. This is all so important as a lot of groups claim affiliation when they have no cause or connection with the Wu.

Pretty simple: it's a known fact that only the generals can officially initiate anyone into the Wu-Tang Killa Beez gang, a role that has been mainly or mostly handled by the RZA. Then there are others like Divine and say Mook just to name a few who are also known to have recruited members into the family tree with RZA's permission or blessing. As broken down by Cilvaringz, RZA and the generals are Gold status: The Generals. Anyone else that comes in via these generals gets Silver status, and is known as a Killa Bee. So for example RZA introduced the likes of Black Knights, Northstar, Killarmy, Sunz of Man, Solomon Childs, Royal Fam, CCF Division etc into the family. Now anyone else that comes under or via Silver is known as the Bronze status, and is also a Killa Bee or what most fans called Wu Fam, and the Bronze status needs the blessing or approval again of the Abbott. So Bronze Nazareth for example had to go through Cilvaringz and got approved by the RZA to become an affiliate. Black Knights brought in the likes of Committee, Dexter Wiggle, Indovizualz and so on with the blessing of the RZA, and the list goes on.

When groups under silver gets the approval of the silver members who they are under, they need to get passed on to the RZA who has the final say to grant them the permission to rep that "W". What happens in between: that's where the confusion starts and this was probably the case with Yellow Jackets or the most likely explanation of how and why the information received last week was wrongly interpreted. Just because a member of the group is official does not make the group or the individual members official and vice versa. Take Stone Mecca for instance, the group is not necessarily official under RZA but each individual member of the group are not necessarily official outside of Stone Mecca as a soloist except for the leader Tru James, Confusing isn't it? To keep it simple, any official stamp has to go through RZA or the generals.

Wu-International had to get back in touch with the leader of the Yellow Jacket movement; Christ Bearer for the final part of the Yellow Jackets interview under the West Coast Killa Beez series to correct and set the records straight once and for all. Expect a detailed breakdown of the Killa Bee Gang East West and worldwide some time in future from Wu-International to squash more of the myths and assumptions as to who and what makes a Wu-Tang affiliate, Enjoy!!!
