New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - As excitement builds for The Philistines Jr.'s 'If a Band Plays in the Woods?' (Oct 19, Tarquin Records/Embarque) - their first release in nine years - Frightened Rabbit and We Were Promised Jetpacks are the first in a long line of indie luminaries to offer covers and remixes of songs from the album.

The two tracks are part of a larger project to be released this winter entitled 'If A Lot Of Bands Play In The Woods...?' which will feature additional covers and remixes by The National, Jonsi (of Sigur Ros), Tapes n' Tapes, Tokyo Police Club, Oneida, Mercury Rev, Mice Parade, Kissaway Trail, Mates of State, Jukebox the Ghost, Guster, Mommyheads, Tjeerd Bomhof /Dazzled Kid, and Locas in Love, among others.

The Philistines Jr. are brothers Peter and Tarquin Katis along with drummer Adam Pierce (Mice Parade) and an ever-expanding extended musical family. They have been playing in the woods of suburban Connecticut for 20 years, making charming, smart, even visionary music.
