Once again, the Music Producers Guild is collaborating with the BRITS to present the winner of its Producer of the Year category with a BRIT Award for Best Producer. The Music Producers Guild Awards has already made its mark on the music industry calendar as an event not to be missed. Last year's Awards attracted more than 300 stars and music industry VIPs who turned out in force to celebrate the enormous contribution that recording professionals make to the success of the UK's music industry. Music Producers Guild Chairman Steve Levine says: 'There is no doubt that the vast majority of the music loving public has no idea of the amount of work that goes into recording a successful album. So many talented people play a part, from producers and engineers, to mix and mastering engineers and recording studios. It is only natural that artists and song writers should be applauded but we think it is also important that the accolades are shared with the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make great records.
