Carrollton, TX (Top40 Charts/ City of Carrollton) - Carrollton's Festival at the Switchyard is proud to announce the full entertainment lineup for the inaugural 2010 Festival, taking place October 22 and 23 on the Downtown
Carrollton Square.
The lineup brings an amazing array of musical talent and diversity to the stage. Artists include headliners native Texan singer-songwriter Robert Earl Keen, alternative country favorites The Old 97s, the self-described 'choral symphonic rock' group Polyphonic Spree, and local favorite The Orbans, along with Carrollton native and America's Got Talent finalist pianist Jeffrey Ou, the award-winning Carrollton Wind Symphony, Burning Hotels, Dovetail, Ryan Edgar, Acoustic Pop, Dallas-based Tom Petty tribute band Petty Theft, and several Battle of the Bands contestants.

The site for this outdoor Festival, just east of I-35 on the south side of Belt Line Road, is mid-way between George Bush Turnpike and LBJ Freeway. In addition to the exciting concerts, great food, beer and wine, arts and crafts, interactive games, and activities for children of all ages are planned. Booger Wars, Giant Human Hamster Balls and Bungee Trampolines, among other games, will all be at the Festival., All activities are free to Festival attendees with $5 daily admission. Interested in volunteering? Be the heart and soul of Festival at the Switchyard; sign up to be a volunteer. Volunteers age 16 and older will help maintain the Festival site, greet patrons, provide information and assistance to attendees, as well as many other tasks. You will also receive free admission to the event, a free volunteer t-shirt and plenty of appreciation for helping out.
Festival volunteers and attendees will be able to park at either the Trinity Mills or Downtown Carrollton DART station and be among the first to ride the DART Rail to the Festival for free, steps away from the Carrollton Station. DART has partnered with Festival at the Switchyard to open two of the three Carrollton stations along the 'northwest corridor' of DART's Green Line. Both the Trinity Mills Station and the Downtown Carrollton Station will open for the Festival only. After the Festival, the stations will close again until the slated December 6, 2010 opening.
