Kanye West Showcases Runaway In London BAFTA Premiere

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Virgin Records) - Kanye West presented his new film Runaway live in London at BAFTA last night.The hip hop superstar was in the West End cinema to showcase the film, which features nine tracks from his forthcoming album 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy'.Celebrities including world heavyweight champion David Haye, Marina & The Diamonds and Alexandra Burke, not to mention Virgin Music, were at the exclusive premiere.

Taking to the stage at 10pm, Kanye West introduced the film, saying it was still "rough" and was influenced by the later work of Pablo Picasso and Henry Matisse.Kanye West acts alongside Selita Ebanks in Runaway, playing a man who falls in love with a phoenix who falls from the sky.After the film, West returned to the stage for a question and answer session, in which he talked frankly about his new record, fashion and film ambitions, and how close he came to giving up music.He claimed he wants to make a film with George Lucas, and joked that he is the first person from Chicago to do anything, except be President.

As midnight chimed many people left the theatre, but Kanye West promised to carry on answering questions until everyone was tired of it - no matter how much he talked about the various hues of purple.When Virgin Music bowed out West was still talking. He is quite possibly still talking now...
