NEW YORK (Capitol Records press release) - Saxophonist Dave Koz, who is currently gearing up for his annual holiday tour, has an early reason to celebrate this year. "Honey-Dipped," the debut single off of his brand new Capitol Records album
Saxophonic, reached the No 1spot on Smooth Jazz chart this week.
Koz is no stranger to lofty chart positions - he made history a couple of years ago by being the first artist to score five consecutive Top 5 singles on R&R's Smooth Jazz Chart.
In his 14-year, seven-album career with Capitol Records, Dave Koz has sold well over a million records. Two of his albums - 1999's The Dance and 1993's Lucky Man - spent over 100 weeks on Billboard's Contemporary Jazz chart and were certified Gold in the process. Over the years he's recorded with a wide range of artists including U2, Celine Dion, Rod Stewart and Natalie Cole, to name a few. He also composed the theme to "General Hospital."
His annual Christmas trek kicks off on November 28th in Lake Tahoe, NV and rings the bells in 23 cities in all.
