Dallas, TX (Top40 Charts/ Sidney Thompson Music Official Website) - Sidney Thompson will debut and release her new album 'Colors' at a free concert hosted by the McKinney Performing Arts Center on October 28th at 7:30 PM. Sidney will be accompanied by her band and will perform all the songs on her new album in addition to newly written material.

Sidney a.k.a. 'SID' is a 16-year-old Singer Song writing prodigy from McKinney, Texas. Sid began writing and singing less than 12 months from what will be her album release date. The album and concert will showcase Original songs penned and performed by Sid. She is already being pursued by two of the nation's largest recording labels. Her new song 'Just Anyone' is being touted as breakthrough artistry.

'The rapid pace and development at which her songs have been written, performed and produced is a testament to her natural gift and talent," said Clint Franzen, her Producer. "She writes with depth of someone much older and has all of the attributes to be a truly great artist.'

Sid chose the McKinney Performing Arts Center to launch both her album and career. 'This is my home and I wanted to first perform where I was most comfortable,' said Sid. 'It's going to be an exciting night and we're looking forward to putting on a great show. The venue is so unique and will be a fantastic place to make memories.'

'We couldn't be more pleased than to help one of our own local talents launch their promising career here at MPAC," said David Taylor, McKinney Performing Arts Director. "This will be the first concert of its kind here at MPAC and we hope it won't be the last. My hope is that Sidney can look back on October 28th in downtown McKinney as the place where it all began.'

The concert is free and is open to the public. Sid's music will be available via download after the concert at www.sidneymusic.com. CDs will be available the night of the show.
