New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Pop-rock group Hey Monday will release a six song EP, Beneath It All, for the fans on August 17th, 2010 on Decaydance/Columbia Records. Fans can get a first taste of the new music with audio streams of the songs 'Wish You Were Here' and 'Hangover' now playing at www.heymondaymusic.com. Leading up the release of the EP, the band will also be releasing the single 'I Don't Wanna Dance' on July 27th with the video premiering on MTV July 29th.

Hey Monday is made up of Cassadee Pope (lead vocals/guitar,) Mike Gentile (lead guitar/vocals,) Alex Lipshaw (rhythm guitar/vocals) and Michael (Jersey) Moriarty (bass/vocals.) Since releasing their debut album Hold on Tight two years ago, the band has sold nearly 500,000 songs, graced the cover of several magazines in the U.S. and overseas, and have received more than 28 million plays on MySpace. Their music has been featured on MTV's 'The Hills' and 'The Real World: Brooklyn' and the band appeared on 'Silent Library' in June. Hey Monday has garnered a worldwide fan base including 150,000 followers on Twitter and over 270,000 Facebook fans.

The band will spend the months leading up to the EP's release out on the road with the Warped Tour. The West Palm Beach, Florida natives are no strangers to the road. They have toured the U.S. six times with bands such as Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship and Metro Station.

All of the new songs were co-written by lead singer Cassadee Pope and the title of the EP is a reference to her brutally honest lyrics. Pope found inspiration in her life and the songs cover subjects including love, bitterness, relationships, friends and family. The special collection of songs showcase a cohesive, organic sound that came from the band working so closely together for the past two years. For the new songs they teamed up with a variety of collaborators including Matt Scannell (Vertical Horizon,) Eric Bazilian and Rob Hyman (The Hooters,) Sam Hollander and Dave Katz (Boys Like Girls, Cobra Starship) and Butch Walker (Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry) who developed such a rapport with Hey Monday that they were able to help the band tap into a more mature pop sound without losing sight of who Hey Monday is. Beneath It All demonstrates how much the band has grown together in recent years while also capturing the energy and authenticity that Hey Monday fans know and love and that has earned the band wide critical acclaim.
