Nashville, Tenn. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - At a concert in Nashville, you never know what surprise guest appearances might happen. On Saturday night at the Ryman during
Grace Potter & the Nocturnals set, country superstar
Kenny Chesney showed up and the two performed, 'You & Tequila,' from Chesney's new album, Hemmingway's Whiskey. Potter and Chesney first met in the studio while recording the duet for his album.
On the performance Chesney said, 'Singing 'You & Tequila' on stage with Grace Potter and the Nocturnals was as natural and magical as it was in the studio. Sharing the stage with them and singing that song for her audience was really inspiring for me'! When Potter introduced the song she told the crowd, 'This one doesn't belong to us. It belongs to a good friend of ours. We're also gonna borrow a good friend tonight,' before bringing Chesney on stage.
