New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - The
Hold Steady will close out an incredibly successful 2010 among their fans, playing a New Years Eve show at Milwaukee's Riverside Theater. The band, whose latest album 'Heaven Is Whenever' (Vagrant) grabbed raves from critics and matched their highest Billboard chart debut to date, will lead into the New Years blowout with shows at First Ave in Minneapolis, MN Dec. 29 and Lincoln Hall in Chicago, IL Dec. 30. They also kick off a month of November show this Friday, November 5 in Tulsa, OK.
Since releasing 'Heaven' in May, The Hold Steady has appeared on The Colbert Report and Letterman, been featured on Pitchfork.tv's unique POV performance show, had lead singer Craig Finn join the likes of NBC's Brian Williams and NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg as a guest on NPR's "Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me," and were applauded for 'Heaven' by everyone from Rolling Stone to Time Magazine.
