New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Bruce Springsteen made special appearances last week at London's U.K. International Film Festival and the Rome International Film Festival for screenings of "The Promise: The Making of Darkness on the Edge of Town." Springsteen spoke onstage along with Grammy- and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Thom Zimny and manager Jon Landau. Reuters reported that audiences sat "in awe-struck silence" as Springsteen discussed the creation of his landmark 1978 album and the critically acclaimed documentary. The film is but one disc in a new 3-CD/3-DVD deluxe package Columbia Records will release on November 16 called 'The Promise: The Darkness on the Edge of Town Story.'
