Over the past three years, the New England indie-folk band has had successful national tours with the Old 97's and The Avett Brothers, and has shared the stage with acts such as The Low Anthem, Carolina Chocolate Drops and Rhett Miller. They were also "the toast of this year's Newport Folk Festival" (My Old Kentucky Blog) with a " breakthrough appearance" (Boston Globe). NPR All Songs Considered included David Wax Museum on its list of Newport Folk Festival 2010 Highlights: https://n.pr/avNsJf
'Everything Is Saved' captures David Wax Museum's undeniably original sound. Whether echoing Mexican son jarocho or contemporary American folk, songwriter David Wax and multi-instrumentalist Suz Slezak mine various musical traditions to produce their gorgeous music. The beautifully crafted collection was produced by Sam Kassirer (Josh Ritter, Langhorne Slim). It encapsulates the Museum's special talents: unique instrumentation (including a donkey jawbone, upright bass, jarana and accordion), glimmering harmonies and elegiac lyrics.
