Online Radio Network X1fm Conducts Interviews With Claudio Sanchez Of Coheed & Cambria And Chino Moreno And Sergio Vega Of Deftones
San Diego, CA (Top40 Charts/ X1FM Network) In a recent interview with Claudio Sanchez of Coheed & Cambria Sanchez tells X1FM about developing the band's acoustic sound and the future of Coheed & Cambria. 'Playing acoustic is just another, different thing, it allows me to rearrange the songs for that - to make them appropriate for that dimension of what Coheed & Cambria does,' said Sanchez.

In addition to their concept albums, Sanchez writes accompanying literature in the form of novels and comic books. Year of the Black Rainbow is the band's fifth studio album and serves as the origin story for the Armory Wars series, Sanchez notes that it makes sense to continue the series in these mediums (album + novel) but future work will not necessarily follow this format. Sanchez will continue to work on the 'In Keeping Secrets' series as well as a continuation of Kill Audio series.

In another recent interview, we spoke with Chino Moreno and Segio Vega of Deftones after a recent show. Frontman Chino Moreno draws parallels between their newest album Diamond Eyes and their sophomore effort, Around the Fur saying that both records were produced in less than six months under little pressure despite public perception. Moreno addresses Segio Vega stepping in for Chi Cheng following his car accident and Vega's role on Diamond Eyes, adding that Vega made significant contributions to the album.

Chino Moreno also commented on what he wants fans to take from their music, 'We really don't have a main message that we try to send out... hopefully the music carries emotional quality it's supposed to evoke emotion; it does it in us when we're making it. We hope that that transcends to the listener, I think that's the only message, ya know there's nothing political or anything like that, it's just music, it's fun.'
