Not new to emceeing John's history dates back to 2000 with the release of the group Lost Factor. The first single Tell Me Just How Y'all Feel gained a national and international response with the Napster lawsuit. Particularly the song "Fork in Da Road" reached national acclaim with the USA Songwriting Competition winning first place in the Hip-Hop category. "Fork in Da Road" also earned a spot on The Teen Suicide Awareness CD sponsored by West Wire Recordings. Another song "Reasons" was also chosen for World Wide Ballin' 2 CD, which is sponsored by D.I.M.W Music Group. He also worked alongside Dewanye "Bam" Staten Sr the man responsible for the artist Nonchalant's hit "5 O'clock.

So being an emcee at heart, production was the next step for John Bond to add to his arsenal. Creative by nature, production came natural to the already gifted artist. In 2003 the artist/producer/engineer took his first steps in music composition. Studying and gathering insight from artist, and producers around him, he started building up his resume. With that in mind, the company SoulR Music Productions was born giving John a business identity. While working on his solo project John is also helping local artist lay down tracks. As his production skills sharpen and ear becomes more attuned to sound, his lyricism is also sharpening. Never being compared to any other artist already sets him apart from the rest of the pack.
