New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ ROGERS & COWAN) Marco Bosco, artist/producer/writer/CEO of Eruption
Music Group officially announces the launch of his 360 degree entertainment company. The launch kicks off tomorrow and will include a new company website detailing EMG's practices and client services found at www.eruptionmusic.com; and the start of his national billboard ad campaign that begins in Los Angeles with three ads posted on Sunset Blvd., including two on the historic strip. Forthcoming billboards will be posted in cities that include Dallas, Miami, New Orleans, Oklahoma City and Honolulu. Now on iTunes, consumers can download his two new singles, "Another Night" and "I Wonder."
Bosco's U.S. debut single "Another Night" is currently nearing the top 40 on Media Base's Top 40/CHR chart, and "I Wonder" is just beginning its national Top 40 radio campaign. The billboard locations are as follows: one located at Sunset and Harper across from the Chateau Marmont, the second at Sunset and La Cienega, and the third at Sunset and Alta Vista (to be installed on Friday, Feb. 11, 2011). The Alta Vista and La Cienega boards feature images intended to make a subtle commentary on the state of the music industry and establish EMG as forward thinking company.
"We are essentially a client services company with a music marketing component," says Aaron Braunstein, president of EMG. He continues, "Our business model isn't solely based on artist sales, like the model of a record label, so we can afford to think differently and focus on company branding with the billboard campaign."
In addition to completing the company's second round of financing, Braunstein appointed Bosco as CEO to head up the company's initiatives in production management, marketing and artist development. Under his guidance, EMG's music marketing division is one of the top five independent companies on the Media Base chart with Bosco's single "Another Night." Says Bosco, "I like taking on both the artistic and executive roles and my goal is to become the face of the new music business. I'd like to do for pop music, what visionaries like Jay-Z and Diddy did for Hip Hop."
Producer Ronnie King has also been appointed as head of EMG's A&R division, recently signing Argentinian band Infierno 18 to a worldwide licensing agreement, excluding Latin and South America where they are signed to Sony/BMG. Infierno 18 was recently featured in Coca Cola's South American commercial campaign.
Originally from Rome, Italy, Marco Bosco began his career as a member of the popular Italian pop group 5 Stars. His singing career in Europe included touring with Gavin Rossdale and Nelly Furtado; and as an artist, writer and producer, he has had more than 400,000 album sales to his credit. Marco's U.S. debut came as a producer, featured artist and writer on "Chasing Sunshine" from the most recent MIMS album"Guilt,"released by Capitol Records. "Chasing Sunshine" sold more than 100,000 single downloads domestically.
