New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Music for Little People) Join award-winning children's music artist
Aaron Nigel Smith as he takes young ones on a musical journey through the world of imagination with the release of his debut CD Let's Pretend on 25-year-old children's music label,
Music for
Little People. Initially released independently and with limited availability, Let's Pretend garnered 2005 NAPPA "Honors" and iParenting Media Awards. Aaron's sophomore recording, Everyone Loves To Dance, was recently awarded a 2010 Parent's Choice "Recommends" Award and a 2010 NAPPA "Honors" Award.
On Let's Pretend,
Aaron encourages children to sing, move and learn with thoughtful, spacious melodies such as "Musical Alphabet" and "Butterflies," and rockin' rhythmic danceable jams ("Everybody's Jumping," "Let's Pretend," and "Moon Jump"). A mixture of great new tunes ("Animal Song," "Dolphin Dancing," "Trees," and "The Park") and old standards performed in unique and captivating ways ("Jack & Jill," Pat-A-Cake," "This Old Man," and "Itsy Bitsy Spider") make for a magical combination that brightens up the vibes of any home and bridges the generation gap with great wholesome music.
"I am excited to see this project released commercially," explains
Aaron Nigel Smith. "It was great working with Leib (Ostrow) and his team to add some hip new vocal and instrumental parts, as well as six new songs!"
Leib Ostrow, Grammy nominated producer and the founder and president of
Music for
Little People says, "From the time I first met
Aaron a few years ago, I have been totally impressed by his passion and ability to engage children in song and movement. He is truly a dynamic children's performer and his new recording expresses this whole-heartedly."
Aaron Nigel Smith has been a featured musical guest on the Emmy Award winning PBS Kids television series Between the Lions and works with the NEA Read Across
