The much-anticipated recording is dedicated to the late superstar singer/actress Aaliyah. After dropping her successful debut CD, "My Dream," the trail-blazing young singer did not waste any time immediately heading back into the studio to record tunes for her sophomore album. Chani will release her new album, "Lyrics & Lipstick," on February 14, 2011. Her incomparable musical panache has gained her accolades and successes far and wide. This sophomore album will feature Chani's first single, titled "Down," featuring iRoCc.
The result is a fantastical arrangement of timeless music, which includes songs "Gimme Love," featuring Lil' Mama (America best dance crew), and "Loaded," featuring Malo. Her new album expresses life from a young lady's take-on-the-world perspective. Once again, Chani chose to work alongside her long-time mentor and renowned music producer Bobby Tinsley. Eight months later, "Lyrics & Lipstick" was born. This sophomore album runs the gamut from Pop/R&B, to soulful seductive ballads. All throughout, Chani flawlessly delivers the performance of a lifetime and maintains her deeply rooted pop style.
Chani is dedicated to delivering positive efforts in the community, and she will once again donate a portion of the album proceeds to her "ChaniGirl" Foundation, which serves the youth around the world with food, clothing, books and music. In addition, "Chani" recently announced her acceptance to compete and represent the city of Los Angeles in Donald Trump's Miss California Teen USA 2012 Pageant.

Her label, Jean Rah Fya Records, will be hosting her album release party for "Lyrics & Lipstick" on Sunday, February 13, 2011, at the beautiful Alta Hollywood complex from 7PM-10PM.
