Sweden Celebrates Independent Music As Impala Presents Award To Sofia Karlsson

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/EMI Music /IMPALA) IMPALA Executive Chair, Helen Smith, was present at the Manifest awards (the alternative Swedish Grammys) in Sweden on Friday to hand over an IMPALA European Silver award to Swedish singer songwriter Sofia Karlsson for her album Soder Om Karleken, released on Sally Wiola Music/Playground.

The awards event, which is organised by the Swedish independents association SOM and has been running for nearly ten years, was combined with a two-day programme of discussions and panels where IMPALA also contributed to the debate on the future of European independent music.
