New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Soul icon Betty Wright's 2011 Grammy nominated single, "Go!," delivers a powerful message against domestic violence, but her fight against abuse doesn't rely on words alone. Wright has partnered with GiveBack.org, a site that allows users to create a personalized charity foundation, to empower her fans to do their part in the battle against domestic violence.
Visit her GiveBack page here: https://www.giveback.org/betty
Wright's GiveBack foundation was created to support four charities close to her heart, including the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN), the Jenesse Center Domestic Violence Intervention Program and her own charity, Mister Mister Foundation, an organization that works to improve the lives of young adults by cultivating music, art, and music business skills.
By signing up for GiveBack through her page, 25 fans will win a personalized autographed CD. An additional 20 winners will receive $10 for their own foundation. Ms. B Records/S-Curve Records, will also donate a percentage of iTunes purchases for "Go!" by GiveBack members to the charities of the purchaser's choice.
Wright, a 14-time Grammy nominee as a writer, artist and producer will perform as part of an all-star ensemble at the Grammy pre-telecast this year. She will also join The Roots on stage at their annual pre-Grammy jam session on Saturday, Feb. 12.
