New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Midnight Circus) Yonrico Scott, best known for his work with Derek Trucks, Government Mule and the Allman Brothers, is in New York City for the Allman Brothers run at the Beacon Theater. In addition to guest appearances with the Allman Brothers, Yonrico is performing at the official after show event at the Iridium for the Allman Brothers Beacon Theater run. Yonrico contacted Mr. (JP Blues) Pagano and asked if there was a chance they could create a unique show together. JP Blues, now at the age of 21, has represented Long Island twice in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN, as well as toured throughout the East Coast with his own band The JP Blues Band (www.jpblues.com). His new CD I Will Not Go Quietly has remained on the National Roots Music Charts for an astounding 17 weeks. This is an unprecedented achievement for an independent artist. JP Blues is widely regarded as one of Long Islands top young blues guitar players. Added to the mix is Sly Geralds, who is widely regarded one of the best funk bass players on Long Island. When you examine the potential of this combination of musicians, the Blues and Rock influences of JP Blues searing guitar work, the Jazz and World music rhythms of Grammy Award winner, drummer Yonrico Scott and the funk and slap of bassist Sly Geralds, this could be one of the most unique and exciting musical experiences that has hit Long Island in quite some time.
