Michael Horsphol Nominated For The Hollywood Music In Media Awards
Sydney, AUSTRALIA (Top40 Charts/ Blue Pie Records) Australian composer extraordinaire, Michael Horsphol, has been nominated for the 2011 Hollywood Music in Media Awards.

One of Blue Pie's most extraordinary talents, Michael Horsphol, has received a nomination for the 2011 Hollywood Music in Media Awards.

Our very own Australian composer has been nominated in the Music Genre Category of Classical/Orchestra for his orchestral piece Germination (Gloria Natura Pt. 1). The awards ceremony will take place on November 17 later this year in Hollywood, California.

Michael Horsphol has featured his compositions in a number of placements around the world, including; the Discovery Channel, BBC3, National Geographic, ABC Documentaries and ABC TV and many more.

The music produced and composed by Horsphol will cause the listener to transcend time and space, through his soundscape-like qualities. Each and every single one of his compositions is crafted with a superior degree of musicianship and artistic integrity.

This Tasmanian-born star is one of Australia's most gifted and talented modern-day composers and has been playing and composing music for over 40 years. His superior catalogue ranges from symphonies to solo piano music, to orchestral arrangements. He is also the Head of Orchestral Music for Blue Pie Records and helps to produce, write and arrange for many of Blue Pie's roster of artists. Contributing orchestral arrangements and sophisticated soundscapes for new and emerging artists including the likes of Sam Pollard, his work continues to expand.

In 2009 Michael Horsphol signed a world-wide recording and publishing agreement with Indie powerhouse Blue Pie. The agreement will see his music taken to the four corners of the world. As Damien Reilly - CEO of Blue Pie says:

'Michael is nothing short of a music genius that you get to meet once in every 30 years if you are lucky. I see an exceptional amount of talent in my role as the CEO of Blue Pie and see an amazing future in cinema for Michael. We have assembled a team to develop Michael's presence and music brand in the coming years. Look for his name in the musical credits of your favourite film in the not too distant future. We are honoured to have what I regard as one of Australia's greatest classical and ambient new age composers on the label'.
