NEW YORK (QOTSA Official Website) - Josh Homme and Nick Oliveri, the core of Queens Of The Stone Age, have parted ways. Nick either left the band or was thrown out, depending who you believe. Either way, Queen's management has confirmed the departure, saying: "A number of incidents occurring over the last 18 months have led to the decision that the two can no longer maintain a working partnership in the band."
In fact according to the Queens Of The Stone Age website, the band has an entirely new line-up with Homme remaining as the only original member.

Rumour has it things came to a head with the band during the Big Day Out tour in Australia. Former Screaming Tress members now fill out the group with Van Conner on bass and Tree Barrett Martin on drums.
