Austin, Texas (Top40 Charts/ Media Strategies) Watchitoo and Bandromeda, the social space for bands and fans to interact, today announced the launch of b-LIVE - a new service that enables any band to stream live content to their Bandromeda page and bring their fans into the creative process. b-LIVE will make its debut during the SXSW
Music and Media Conference, where Bandromeda will live-stream performances from its booth, number 307. Performers such as Tori Allen and New Cassettes are expected to appear.
b-LIVE, powered by Watchitoo's social collaboration platform, brings live content to every artist's page on Bandromeda. The new service allows fans to join the artists' performances, rehearsals, recording sessions, and video chat sessions, becoming part of the creative process and engaging with their favorite musicians. Leveraging Watchitoo's patent-pending technology, b-LIVE will allow fans to not only watch the action, but also to interact with artists in live video and text chats, and to integrate these experiences with popular social networking sites.
Watchitoo, which is exhibiting at SXSW at booth 1140, is the industry's first true real-time social collaboration platform that anyone can embed in their website. Using patent-pending multistreaming technology, the company allows any size group to connect, share any type of media, see one another, talk and text/chat in real-time using nothing more than a web browser. There is nothing to download and nothing to configure. Watchitoo is also live-streaming content from SXSW, including all of the interviews, panels and performances taking place on The Next Stage, and one-on-one interviews with personalities in between performances. Panels, performances and interviews will be available to watch live, via Watchitoo's social collaboration media player, on the web at https://sxsw.com/interactive/trade_show/ and via Watchitoo's mobile app for iPhones.
"Bandromeda is one of a wave of companies that has recognized that users don't merely want to consume content, they want to engage with it live," said Rony Zarom, CEO, Watchitoo. "Together, through b-LIVE, Watchitoo and Bandromeda are providing a new channel for musicians and music lovers to come together."
Bandromeda will also use the Watchitoo-powered b-LIVE platform to stream events from various music venues around Austin during the event.
"We distinguish our service by providing the most social, interactive and creative experience to our bands and fans," said Matt Gooding, president and CEO, Bandromeda. "Watchitoo offered the most compelling user experience, the most feature-robust and scalable platform, with the greatest creative possibilities, to power b-LIVE."
