Bayou Fest Houston 2011 Features Saliva, Rev Theory, Proceeds To Benefit Cancer Research
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Bayou Fest Houston Festival) Bayou Fest Houston 2011 is set for April 16th and will feature more than 20 rock-oriented bands, across 3 stages, located at The Verizon Wireless Theater, Bayou Place, and Hard Rock Cafe. Hosted by LiveNation, this non profit, all ages event is the brainchild of Paul Ehmer (from the band Dimitri's Rail), and Hank and Mike Cortez of Media Music Productions/Metal Music Promotions.

International superstars, SALIVA, are scheduled to headline the main stage at The Verizon Wireless Theater, putting Houston among the first leg of cities that will hear music from the band's new release, 'Under Your Skin.' The album dropped today, March 22, 2011 via Island Def Jam. https://www.islanddefjam.com/saliva/

Saliva will be joined on the main stage by Interscope recording artist, Rev Theory (who has just released their album, 'Justice.'), as well as Houston's own Dimitri's Rail, Arizona's Back From Ashes, and a host of other talented, local and regional bands.

The all day festival was conceived with a dual purpose in mind:
1. To raise money/awareness for childhood cancer, with proceeds going to The Layla Grace Childrens Cancer Research Foundation, and
2. to help create and rejuvenate the music scene in Houston, Texas, bringing notice to the extraordinary talent of the core group of high end bands, based in the Houston area.

The Layla Grace Foundation (LGF) mission is to discover new treatment options for children with high-risk cancer, empower parents to be effective advocates for their children, as well as raise public consciousness about their cause. Purchasing your tickets to Bayou Fest Houston 2011 will aid The Layla Grace Foundation in that mission. https://laylagrace.org/

Sponsorship for Bayou Fest Houston 2011 includes Buffalo Wild Wings, 94.5 The Buzz, Hard Rock Cafe, Kat's Guitars, JR Homes, Bayou Place, Budwieser, Jim Beam, Turnkey Industries, Pride International, Thunder Roads Magazine, Concert Pub North, Rock 103.9 KJXJ in Bryan/College Station, Terry & Linda Swift, and Grill.

Advertising and marketing for the event will be handled via local TV (FOX), local print (Houston Chronicle, Houston Press), and local radio (CBS, Clear Channel, Cumulus).

Tickets for Bayou Fest Houston 2011 may be purchased directly from LiveNation at https://bit.ly/bayoufest-tickets

Official band lineups will be announced in an upcoming press release.
