Music Row's Robert Oermann Catches The Chase Rice Buzz
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ P.L.A. Media) Chase Rice's spring break party favorite Buzz Back secures the sought after DisCovery Award from Music Row's Robert Oermann. "I'm just so surprised to see how quickly things are moving," says Chase. "Just getting Oermann to listen to my debut was exciting, but seeing the review today was the best news I could have gotten!" The full review is copied below.
Chase Rice lost by just one vote on the reality show Survivor: Nicaragua. In addition, he is notable as a former University of North Carolina linebacker and as a member of the NASCAR pit crew for driver Ryan Newman. Now he has yet another career, as a country singer with a "spring break" single. He also has a DisCovery Award.

-He's hung over, but not for long. Rocking and promising, this is the debut country single from the first runner up on TV's Survivor: Nicaragua.

Chase has had a passion for country music ever since he saw Garth Brooks perform at just 10 years old. Although he had picked up the guitar in college, it wasn't until after his father's death that he even thought about wanting to sing. From the lights of the football fields at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill to the rumble of NASCAR drivers speeding around the track, Chase proved to be a phene for intense career choices. It wasn't until he had an opportunity to step out of the pit crew of Hendrick Motorsports to grab the microphone center stage as a performer that Chase finally decided to pursue music full force. However, he put his dreams on hold for a chance to compete on the CBS' reality hit Survivor. Now his persistent determination to succeed has him prepared to launch via his rowdy debut single featured on his EP Country As Me, which is currently available on iTunes.
