New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Los Lonely Boys took home the awards for Best Rock, Best Latin, and Best Blues Act at the 29th annual Austin Music Awards. The ceremony was held on the closing night of SXSW, where the Grammy-winning band had performed two sets unveiling new material from their forthcoming album 'Rockpango' (3/29). This brings the band's total Austin Music Award wins to an impressive 10. 'Rockpango' has been earning glowing early reviews from press in Austin and around the country. The Austin Chronicle praised the band's "rich wood grain of cantina soul" and "flawless vocals," while the Austin American Statesman raved that the album "fortifies fiery fretwork with the trio's trademark sky-high melodies." American Songwriter called 'Rockpango' "superb," and Mix Magazine hailed its "catchy riffs throughout that recall everyone from The Beatles to Cream." Los Lonely Boys will perform the title track from 'Rockpango' on Leno March 28, and they'll kick off an extensive spring/summer tour-including dates with Los Lobos-April 2 in Steamboat Springs, CO.
